Querying Again

Hey all! Happy spring! I got some great feedback from my last round of beta readers, and I am confident my book and query package is in a place where I can start querying again.

Although I’ve been told my manuscript is traditional-publishing-level-quality, I also want to be realistic about my chances in this very competitive industry. My plan, therefore, is to submit to 30 or more agents by the end of April, and wait on responses until late August. If I don’t have any interest by then (e.g. no partial or full requests), I plan to begin the road to self-publishing. While this will be harder than traditional publishing in some respects, I don’t want to wait forever for my book to come out. It’s already been almost five years since I began writing THE EDICT OF ALCHEMY, and I want to start writing the next installment in the series. I also know a lot of you are interested in reading the story and I don’t want you all to wait too much longer.

In any case, wish me luck!
